Ajrakh

Ajrakh is a unique resist printing technique of Ajrakh. This process of printing uses natural dyes to create intricate patterns with multiple overlays of colour. Ajrakh, considered as one of the most demanding hand-block printing techniques in the world, in a printing technique involving thirteen steps. The process is reknowned for the viberant colours of indigo, black, green and red. 

This is a craft that has its roots in the regions of Kutch, Barmer and Singh of the Indian Subcontinent.
